Sales Executive

Background

With new exciting opportunities on the horizon and the business expanding fast, Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world class team by recruiting a dynamic new Sales Executive to work closely with the Sales Manager to deliver sales targets for Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) and Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS)

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, and working as part an established Sales team, you will be responsible for  attracting and winning new business, as well as achieving up-selling opportunities. Working at all times with the CRM system and E-net to administer applications received and deliver client handling.

Your primary responsibilities will include;

  • Driving the exhibitor sales operation to include maintaining contact, following and closing sales leads
  • Owning the exhibitor up-selling programme and delivering the targets set
  • Delivering new business targets including the delivery of emerging sectors
  • Responding to exhibitors and potential exhibitors efficiently, ensuring as much assistance as possible is given with their applications
  • Maintaining exhibitors’ records on the database and producing invoices where appropriate
  • Proactively assisting in gathering the E-net information required for exhibitors and advising if the system requires updating
  • Co-ordinating acknowledgements to exhibitors once applications are received and inputting onto CRM system
  • Processing and monitoring incoming applications
  • Managing the sales process for new prospects, from initial contact through to closure
  • Achieving all revenue targets & objectives in line with the allocated Business Plan and dedicated sector

Account Manager - Exhibitions

With new exciting opportunities and the business expanding fast, Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world class team by recruiting an Account Manager to join the Venue Sales Team and be responsible for proactively selling venue space and services to exhibition organising clients. You will play an important part in a small established team by developing and implementing sales strategy and a programme of business development initiatives.

The Role

As the Account Manager, you will not only be delivering against targets set by the business, you will also closely support the Venue Director and Sales Manager by assisting in proactive account management across the company portfolio.

Your primary responsibilities will include, amongst others:

  • Achieve revenue targets within a highly competitive market
  • Analyse identified UK and international industry and market sectors in order to effectively target new exhibition business
  • Manage and develop events across the whole company portfolio
  • Maximise and develop existing client relationships to ensure high levels of repeat business and account growth
  • Maximise and grow target markets and/or industry sectors
  • Seek new business opportunities through own initiative and identify potential new clients through proactive sales techniques
  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships with major event organisers

Facilities Coordinator

Our aim is to transform what we are known for – to make Farnborough International a globally recognised brand, famous for its pioneering spirit in delivering world class Airshows and hosting business events in our state of the art 20,000 sqm exhibition and conference centre set to open in 2018.

With new exciting opportunities on the horizon and the business expanding fast, Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world class team by recruiting an experienced Facilities Coordinator, to take responsibility for coordinating all administrative services for the Venue Facilities (VF) team.

The Role

Reporting to the Soft Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the venue site, ShowCentre, Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre and Hall 5 are managed in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring work is carried out safely and to standard.

Your primary responsibilities will also include, amongst others:

  • Managing the VF helpdesk function during working hours and during Farnborough International Airshow (FIA)
  • Directing and assigning the relevant people / contractors / suppliers to respond to faults / maintenance / repair requests as required
  • Overseeing the allocation of work / responsibility of suppliers and contractors on a daily basis and facilitating access and permits to work
  • Co-ordinating and updating the planned maintenance requirements using the CAFM system and providing support to VF staff and third party users
  • Developing efficient facilities management administration procedures and processes
  • Developing proficient event services administration processes to assist the teams in the delivery of FIL events
