Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre today confirmed the first five shows that will take place in the new Hall 1 which is due to open in early 2018. The new Hall 1 at the birthplace of British aviation will host the following shows during 2018 and early 2019:

  • Southern Manufacturing - February 2018
  • Security & Policing – March 2018
  • Fishing Show ‘The Big One’  – March 2018
  • National Pet Show – May 2018 (New show moving from the Excel London)
  • Centaur Media’s Home Building & Renovating – January 2019

With the National Pet Show moving venue from London’s Excel Centre and the Home Building & Renovation show including Farnborough on its roster of venues in early 2019, they signal the commercial support that Farnborough’s new venue is gaining from across the industry. The other three shows are already successful in Farnborough’s Hall 4 temporary structure.

Michael Watton, Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre Venue Director said “Getting these first shows confirmed for the new venue is a major milestone for all of us here at Farnborough International. They prove how versatile this new space will be and how it’s advanced technology will bring conferences, meetings and events to life in these wonderful new spaces. With under a year to go until we open the doors, we are delighted with the response to this new pioneering vision.  Our objective was to be ready in time for the 2018 Airshow.  To be able to open the venue ahead of the planned date and host a series of events in the spring is a fantastic achievement.”

The Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre is set to become the leading venue for events in South of England, outside London. The venue will continue to build on Farnborough’s firmly-established reputation as a business events destination and home to the world- famous Airshow. The new purpose built venue space will be flexible enough to cater for almost any kind of exhibition, conference, meeting, dinner or launch event thanks to 12,500sqm of exhibition space, conference space for up to 2,500 delegates and nine purpose-built function rooms.

Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre’s innovative building design was developed by the architects Terence O’Rourke and the look and feel of the structure draws heavily on Farnborough’s association with aerospace testing and development in Farnborough’s famous wind tunnels.
