Corporate Social Responsibility

At Farnborough International we are known for running and hosting a variety of events from major global showcases such as our own Farnborough International Airshow to niche corporate events for other event organisers. In everything we do, being socially and environmentally responsible forms part of our management ethos. Any decision making in planning and organising an event has sustainable principles at its core. We have pioneered and implemented a number of initiatives and work on a policy of continuous improvement.

Positivity, Precision and Partnership

We live and breathe pioneering spirit and our values of positivity, precision and partnership are in everything we do. Our people are central to this ethos and we work with them to support their professional development and reflect our brand values. We are always trying to improve and look for ways to make incremental gains for ourselves and our customers around the world.

Charity

Farnborough International supports a number of charities associated with its pioneering heritage and the Farnborough International Airshow. Each Airshow, we nominate an official charity which has included SAAFA, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the RAF Museum’s campaign to raise funds for its RAF Centenary Programme at Hendon.

Locally, it supports the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) and works with the Barry Wells Trust’s Boxes for Kids Initiative. Farnborough International is also an active participant of the Community Matters Partnership Project supporting various projects in the local community.

Environment

Farnborough International has implemented a number of practices to reduce the environmental impact associated with the exhibition and event industry. We are certified to ISO201221 and comply with our landlord’s ISO14001 environmental management certification.

With the opening of Hall 1 and the increasing number of events held at FIECC Farnborough International is committed to ensuring the impact on the environment is minimal. Event processes are continually reviewed and work in conjunction with clients to continually reduce waste and utility usage to make our events as sustainable as possible.

Community

The Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre and the Airshow have been a part of the town since 1948 and we are very much aware that our business plays an important part to the economic prosperity of the town both directly and indirectly. We have long standing relationship with Hampshire Country Council, Rushmoor Borough Council and Enterprise M3 LEP who are all funding partners (alongside Barclays Bank) in the continued development of the venue.

Accessibility

We make every effort to ensure that the venue and the events within it are fully inclusive. The venue is fully accessible with lifts and outside areas available for wheelchair users and works with third party contractors to bring in additional facilities when required.
